(More customer reviews)these things make huge and I mean huge clouds of dust.They are great for long rips but be prepared to wear a respirator and not one of those cliche' cheap painters ones either I mean a cartridge type unit.But the reality is for long rips you need this unit.However for shorter rips , cross cuts get the "Snapper Shear ss404".They are virtually dustless.For detail work use a jigsaw with a coarse blade...see my other reviews for examples.
