(More customer reviews)As you'd expect, the rip fence fits the 6391 very nicely and is easy to install and adjust.Unfortunately, it has 2 rather significant flaws, in that it's too short, but most importantly, it won't work on stock smaller than 3/8". So, it won't work on 1/4" plywood or standard paneling. That is due to the way the device is designed. The bar that connects to the saw is bent in a U shape before it connects to the right angle flat that runs along the workpiece. There is a 3/8" gap between the top of the right angle flat and the bar, which allows any stock smaller than 3/8" to slide through.
I assume that it works fine for 1/2" and larger stock, for relatively shallow rips. The total length of the device from the flat to the end of the attachment bar is 9", so you're limited to about 6" cut depth from the flat fence guide. I've not had an opportunity to use it on larger stock yet, so don't know for sure.
I typically use a rip fence named Accu-Rip, which I've seen for sale in Lowes and Sears. It's much fussier, actually rather a pain to attach to the saw and set up, but once that is done, it works great, allowing for very deep cuts.I ripped several 3/4 plywood sheets into 16" width boards with it.
I'll keep the Milwaukee fence because it's cheap, fits easily into the saw case and attaches quickly and easily for use on larger stock. But, I must say that it's quite a disappointment that won't work on smaller stock and won't cut any deeper than 6".
