(More customer reviews)fortunately, i had most of my lexan for custom windows precut. However, when i tried to trim a quarter inch off a side, there was a large "bam" as a piece splintered off, followed by popping sounds as the plastic fractured. I then tried cutting a piece cross-wise and again, there was the popping with the plastic fracturing continuously. I only tried the two times, total cut less than a foot, but that was enough. Anyways, the plastic did not melt behind the blade. i now only use the blade for cutting plywood. I went to home depot and bought a much cheaper blade with many more teeth and will try that.
I am not a carpenter, but a pretty handy homeowner, also an architect working on a weekend home with contractors.. The idea of a no melt blade is great, since i have had plastic melt together behind the blade. Either there need to be many more than 60 teeth with a fairly wide carbide blade or my blade is slightly off and wobbles.I emailed Forrest but receive no response.
