(More customer reviews)I was told Metabo is a made-in-germany a-notch-better-than-Bosch brand and I can believe it. Great all around saw for 2x and 3/4 plywood. Light. Only reason I also have a corded one is for 3/4 hardwood (The Metabo will cut it but run out of battery too fast).

Important to me : very low noise level so I do not have to wear ear protection (unlike my screaming loud Hitachi corded).

Price is steep, better get it in the pack with the drill (great) and reciprocal saw (no match for corded Metabo but great in the garden!).

The 18-volt 2 Ah battery pack can be charged up to 2000 times. The saw provides a no-load speed of 2,500 RPM. The cutting depth is adjustable from 0 to 53.5 inches. The cutting indicator is suitable for bevel cuts up to 47 inches.
With a spindle stop, the carbide-equipped circular saw blades are easy to replace and measure 6-1/2 inches in diameter. Built with sturdy aluminum die cast housing, the saw features a built-in collector fan to prevent overheating, a fully closed guide plate for secure support, an external dust extraction outlet, and a safety lock switch to prevent unintentional start-up.
