(More customer reviews)I paid $18.99 for this and the suggested price was $22.99 and it's not worth either of those numbers. I was cutting some old metal roofing sheets that were 28" wide. I made 6 crosscuts and two angel cuts to roof a dormer I built with about a 6'x4' roof on each side. These were older panels so a little thicker than those flimsy ones you now get in the home centers. This review is based on the above.

The Product Description states: OSHLUN high quality steel cutting saw blades have been designed with C-6 carbide tips and a triple chip grind to cut through all types of mild steel/ferrous metals such as steel studs, piping, tubing, channel, flat stock, rebar and more. The special carbide resists breakage and lasts much longer than ordinary abrasive discs and other carbide grades. These blades leave a much cleaner cut, without the sharp burrs that abrasive discs leave behind.

First... you get a smooth cut... which is the reason for 2 stars... but you also get a rainstorm of flying metal... which I expected... so wear gloves and a full face mask. What I didn't expect was to have a useless blade after so minor cutting. Metal roofing panels are a lot thinner than rebar so I thought it was worth the price. Half the blades are chipped and most are ground off smooth so the life is gone in this blade. I have a building to roof with the same material and it's about 8"x32" so at this rate I would need about six more blades at over $100. I say no way!

I've been in construction for years and know how to use tools so it's nothing I did wrong to wear this out so fast. I had a saw with the correct RPM and cut the panels on a saw horse so they would be stable and I even clamped them in place to prevent movement.

I would recommend not buying this unless you need to make a few smooth cuts and that's all. I'll be making the rest of my cuts with a 4" abrasive cutoff wheel that cots me about $5 for a ten pack. If you don't have a 4" saw buy an abrasive wheel for your circular saw and don't waste your money on this blade.
