(More customer reviews)Imounted the hanger to my framing nailer (a Hitachi NR 90AE) using the existing cap screw that secures the magazine bracket to the handle of the gun. Using one of the longer screws supplied with the hanger, I mounted a second one on my medium crown framing stapler in a similar manner.As long as you're willing to be a little creative and possibly make a minor modification to to the hanger bracket, I think you could use this hanger on most framing guns.

The bracket appears to be well made, but the mounting hardware package didn't include lock washers as called for in the installation instructions. That wasn't a problem in my case, but could be others.

Once mounted, theSky Hook makes it easy to hang the gun from framing members or the rung of a ladder, and folds easily out of the way when not in use. Note that the hook fits over standard dimensional lumber (single ply 2-by joists, trusses or rafters) but not engineered I-joists with thicker top chords.

(More customer reviews)Quality, power, ease of use, quiet and smooth - this is the Bosch 1678. From the arbor lock which keeps the blade from turning when you change it, to the padded handle, to the saw hook that swings out when you want to hang the saw from a sawhorse or a rafter, these are just a few illustrations of the thought that has gone into the design and construction of this saw. I purchased the rip guide which is specific for this saw and I got a Bosch soft side case for the saw and accessories. A saw with the blade on the left took some getting used to for me. Now, I am beginning to see the advantages - easier view of the cutting line which means more accurate cuts. Also, this saw stays on the line and does not seem to want to "wander" as some others I have used in the past. One note of interest - this saw does not have the electic brake that many others do - the blade coasts down to a stop in about five seconds, instead of two. The tradeoff is that the brushes in the Bosch will last a long time. Electic braking plays hell with brushes. You will never regret this purchase. Mine arrived in perfect condition. I have saved its box for other stuff.

Bosch 1677M 7-1/4-inch 120V Wormdrive Saw Review

(More customer reviews)I picked up my Bosch 1677M a few years back with some birthday money, so now a few years later I've had a chance to use it a lot. I own several wormdrived saws (Skil, Rigid, and Bosch) but I always seem to use my Bosch 1677M the most. It's 15 amps, I like the magnesium shoe plate, and it sounds and feels very smooth when your are making your cuts. I made myself a 4 foot cutting guide specificly for this saw, so I can always make straight cuts on sheet goods. The saw exudes quality. I had a contractor I hired at my condo in SoCal replacing a huge beam on my balcony. His circular saw quit on him, so I let him borrow my Bosch 1677M to make some of his cuts. He loved it, and said he may buy himself one! The saw came standard with the rafter hook(nice), and has turned out to be what I would expect from Bosch, a GREAT saw. I use a Freud 24T framing blade for 2x lumber and a Freud 40T blade for my sheet goods. Use good blades, and change the oil ocassionally, and it should last a lifetime. It just one of those tools that every time I use it, it makes me happy. I'm so glad I bought it. Very highly recommended.

(More customer reviews)Bought the saw last week and used it on a project cutting glue laminated beams.Thought it was a little bit over priced but once I saw it in person, realized it was quite a substantial saw.I read the reviews concerning the Milwaukee and came to the conclusion of boning up more money for the Bigfoot.I suggest you do the same.

I was bummed that this saw didnt offer a case like the Milwaukee.None the less, you are getting a high quality saw.That is what really counts.

Nothing beats the performance of a worm drive saw.
