(More customer reviews)Don't bother with it.The saw arrived with the blade a quarter of an inch out of square.I worked for 15 minutes trying to loosen two of the eight screws necessary to adjust it.Never did get them un-done before I noticed the plastic case around the motor was split in two places.When I payed more attention to the way the motor was mounted in the saw, I recognized that is was so flimsy that it would never stay in one place while cutting.Returned it immediately!

(More customer reviews)Great design by Stanley so you don't have to take it apart to change blades.The little storage area for blades is neat too.
The blade change isn't totally intuitive so it would help if they put something like this on their packaging: "Push down black retractable blade button and push all the way forward past the detent so the button stays pushed down.Then push in the silver side button and pull blade out."
Only reason I gave it 4 stars is that I used it to cut some ceiling tile and rubbed off a big section of paint on the handle near the blade; they should have nickel or chrome plated that section instead of painting it.

(More customer reviews)This is my ultimate saw blade for everything I do in my very modest shop except oak ripping (burns the cut sides).For plywood ripping, you must keep the wood moving at least slowly or you might burn the sides of the cut also, because the edges of the teeth are very slightly beveled to create the polished effect.Plywood ripping is not nearly as fast as a regular blade.Nonetheless, your cut will be so fine that it is remarkable!

For oak cross-cut you must also not stall the cut (keep it moving) or else you might burn the edges, but the cut itself will appear polished.Fantastic for fine-finish mitering etc.Even if you don't use it as much as I do, I still would recommend it as part of your supply chain.

It cut a total of 6 inches in 5/16 hardie board.The cut would not run straight.I examined the blade and found that it had lost 3 of the carbide teeth. The blade produced just as much dust as the cheap carbide rip blade I had to use in place of the cement blade.Do not waste your money on this item.
